Alternative Dispute Resolution

Richard T. Heiden, P.A. has represented many clients in mediation and arbitration under a variety of formats in both state and federal matters. Frequently, many contracts now provide, or require, alternative dispute resolution which would include some form of mandatory mediation and either binding, or non-binding, arbitration following a mediation impasse. The rules and procedures under alternative dispute resolution are vastly different from traditional litigation matters before state and federal courts and as such, it is vital to have an experienced attorney at your side as the decisions of an arbitration panel are normally more difficult to appeal and will normally have the effect of a judgment at the conclusion of the arbitration.
